Hi, I'm Xuanang Chen. Call me Shawn if you find difficulty remembering and pronouncing Xuanang.

I'm a first year undergrad mathmo at St John's College, University of Cambridge. I previously studied at Hangzhou No.2 High School of Zhejiang Province and Hangzhou Wenlan Middle School. In Summer 2020, I participated in Ross Math Program for six weeks of number theory.

Everything related to mathematics and technology could potentially attract my attention. I particularly enjoy studying number theory, group theory and cryptograhy.

I’ve derived great fun tutoring Olympiad Mathematics for younger talented students. I’ve worked in Pennon Education and Spark Education, and I also offer personal tutoring.

I practise piano when I get a chance, having done Grade 8. The Piano Section includes my favorite pieces, sorted by Key.

Here are some writings inspired by math materials/lectures that I came across. I endeavor to use quite elementary method to tackle relatively hard questions. Some of the methods might be original (who knows!). Most of them are inspired by extra thinking questions proposed by my supervisors. I try to mark down the ideas that are non-trvial, and hope that both you and me can make more nice observations.
